Durham County Government/Durham County Cares reserves the right to refuse any donations.  If refused, your donation will be refunded, minus any processing fees.   If accepted, donations are non-refundable and portions will be used to benefit Durham County employees participating in the Durham County Cares Campaign, and therefore, may not be tax exempt.  Please consult an accountant or tax attorney for advice, as Durham County Government/Durham County Cares does not provide it.  Durham County Government/Durham County Cares disclaims any responsibility for any representations, promises, pledges, actions, or claims, resulting from the advertising/acknowledgements placed on applicable websites (www.dconc.gov and www.dcocares.org) or by appointed persons or any other entity.  Pursuant to NCGS § 133-32 – no sponsorship (monetary or merchandise) to the Durham County Cares Campaign may be designated for a particular employee, department or division of Durham County Government and shall not be used to influence an employee in the discharge of the employee’s duties; nor shall it influence any past, present or future contractual relationships with Durham County Government.
